MY STREAMS PLAYER – Full App Manual

Step-by-step instructions for installing, setting up and using MY STREAMS PLAYER on compatible Fire TV devices running Fire OS, Android TV devices, Android phones and tablets.

Important: MY STREAMS PLAYER is a media player only. It does not provide, sell or include IPTV subscriptions, TV channels, films, series, sports, streams or provider accounts. Add only services and media you are legally entitled to access.

DOWNLOAD THE APPCONTACT SUPPORT

1. Install and update the app

Compatible Fire OS Firestick

  1. Install and open the Downloader app.
  2. Use the current 32-bit Downloader code shown on the Downloads page.
  3. Allow Downloader to install unknown apps if Fire OS asks.
  4. Install the APK and open MY STREAMS PLAYER from Your Apps & Channels.

Android phone, tablet or TV box

  1. Open the Downloads page.
  2. Choose the APK that matches the device application ABI: arm64-v8a for 64-bit or armeabi-v7a for 32-bit.
  3. Allow the browser to install unknown apps if prompted.
  4. Open the APK and select Install.
Updating: install the new correctly signed APK over the existing app. Do not uninstall first. This is designed to preserve local providers, favourites, history, playlist customisation and licence information.

Vega OS Fire TV devices use a different application platform and are not covered by the standard Android APK instructions.

2. First launch, trial and licence

The direct website APK uses the MY STREAMS PLAYER device-licence system. Eligible new devices can use the trial before purchasing a one-time lifetime licence for that device.

  1. Open MY STREAMS PLAYER.
  2. Open MY PROVIDERS & MSP LICENCE or SETTINGS & CUSTOMISATION to view licence/trial status.
  3. On TV devices, the app can present a secure payment QR/code flow. On Android mobile, payment can open on the device.
  4. After payment, use REFRESH LICENCE if activation does not appear immediately.

Google Play installations use the purchase flow offered inside the Google Play version of the app.

3. Add and manage providers or playlists

MY STREAMS PLAYER supports compatible Xtream Codes provider details and compatible M3U playlists. It does not create or supply these services.

Xtream Codes provider

  1. Open MY PROVIDERS & MSP LICENCE.
  2. Select the Xtream Codes provider option.
  3. Enter a friendly provider name, portal/base URL, username and password exactly as supplied.
  4. Select LOGIN / LOAD ALL PLAYLISTS.
  5. Wait for Live TV, Movies and Series catalogue data to finish loading.

M3U playlist

  1. Choose M3U PLAYLIST when adding a provider/playlist.
  2. Enter the compatible M3U information requested by the app.
  3. Select LOAD M3U PLAYLIST.

Multiple providers

You can keep multiple compatible providers/playlists in the app. Provider-specific categories, customisation and saved playlist backups remain associated with the relevant provider where supported.

Provider problems: MY STREAMS PLAYER cannot recover third-party usernames/passwords, repair an expired service or make an offline provider server work. Check the details with your provider first.

5. TV Guide / EPG

Programme data depends entirely on the EPG information supplied by your provider.

6. TV Channels

TV Channels gives a channel-first view of Live TV. Choose a category, move through the channel grid/list and select a channel to play it. Channel logos are used where available; the app can fall back to its own branding when artwork is missing.

During full-screen Live TV on supported TV remotes, Up/Down can change channel. Press the centre/select control to show the player overlay.

7. Catch Up

Catch Up is available only when your provider marks channels/programmes as replay-capable and supplies the required playback information.

8. Movies and Series

Movies

Choose a Movie category, browse posters/titles, search the catalogue and select a Movie to open/play it. Favourites and saved browsing position help you return to content quickly.

Series

Choose a Series category, select a title, then choose the required season and episode. The app supports episode navigation and playback-end handling for VOD.

The app is designed to handle large provider catalogues using cached/paged loading. Category loading speed still depends on the size and quality of provider data.

9. Favourites and Viewing History

Favourites provides quick access to saved Live TV channels, Movies and Series. Viewing History lists recently watched items so you can return to them without searching the full catalogue again.

Favourites/history are app-side organisation features; removing app data or uninstalling can remove local information unless it has been preserved through the available backup tools.

10. Full-screen playback controls

Common controls

Movies & Series

Live TV

Live TV uses a simpler overlay suited to channel playback. On supported TV remotes, Up/Down changes channel.

11. Playlist Editor – show, hide and reorder content

Open SETTINGS & CUSTOMISATION → CUSTOMISE MY PLAYLIST → PLAYLIST EDITOR.

  1. Select TV, MOVIES or SERIES.
  2. The heading identifies the provider currently being edited.
  3. Use SHOWN / HIDDEN to control whether a provider category appears in normal browsing.
  4. Select MOVE to reorder a category.
  5. While moving, the selected row stays inline. Use MOVE TO TOP, MOVE UP or MOVE DOWN, then SAVE. Choose CANCEL to restore the original order for that move.
  6. Select/open a category to edit individual channels, Movies or Series inside it.
  7. For an individual item, use SHOWN / HIDDEN and MOVE in the same way.
Unified layout: category moves and individual channel/Movie/Series moves use the same inline control structure on TV and mobile devices.

Restore Current Playlist

RESTORE CURRENT PLAYLIST removes current Playlist Editor customisation for the selected provider/group and returns the provider organisation to its original state. Use it carefully.

12. Custom Categories

Custom Categories let you build your own organisation without changing the source provider.

  1. Open the Playlist Editor and choose TV, Movies or Series.
  2. Select CREATE CUSTOM CATEGORY.
  3. Enter a unique category name.
  4. Open provider categories and use the CUSTOM control on compatible items to add/remove them from your custom category.
  5. Custom categories can be renamed or deleted from the Playlist Editor.

Custom category membership and order are included in the app’s playlist customisation/backup system.

13. Backup & Restore

Open SETTINGS & CUSTOMISATION → BACKUP & RESTORE MY CUSTOM PLAYLISTS → BACKUP & RESTORE.

On modern Android versions the app saves backups under the MY STREAMS PLAYER backup area in Downloads. Keep additional copies somewhere safe if the configuration is important to you.

17. Troubleshooting

Provider will not load

Check the portal/M3U details, username/password where applicable, internet connection, provider account status and provider server availability. Try reloading the provider/playlist.

One channel, Movie or episode does not play

Try another item. If other content works, the individual stream may be unavailable at the provider. If nothing plays, restart the app/device and check the network/provider status.

“App not installed” on Firestick

For compatible Fire OS Firesticks use the current 32-bit APK, confirm there is enough storage, remove incomplete downloads and ensure the update is signed with the same certificate as the installed app.

Update conflict / downgrade message

Do not uninstall just to force an update unless you have protected the data you need. Android requires a compatible signature and a version code that is not lower than the installed app.

Audio is ahead/behind the picture in VOD

Open the VOD overlay and use AUDIO SYNC to adjust timing.

Wrong language on a Movie/episode

Open the VOD overlay, select AUDIO and choose from the audio tracks supplied by the video.

I changed the Playlist Editor and want to undo it

Use CANCEL during an active move, restore a saved backup, or use RESTORE CURRENT PLAYLIST when you intentionally want to return the current provider playlist organisation to its original state.

I still need help
